The counter
that remembers
your name.

Cold sake, hot skewers over binchotan, and sushi cut by hand. An old-school izakaya where the night moves slowly.

店の物語

Fifty years behind one counter.

Sumi opened in 1974 with six stools and a single binchotan grill. The stools are gone — replaced, twice — but the grill still burns the same. We press our rice by hand, cut our fish to order, and keep the sake cold.

No reservations. No rush. Just a seat, a pour, and the slow turn of the evening.
